Inspired by a desire to preserve the memories and experiences of my hometown's oldest generation, Origins looks to highlight six alternative tourist locations whilst providing an insight into the daily life and experience of Gibraltarians during history. The project combines illustration (with a strong focus on cross-hatching) and history with augmented reality technology, allowing users to bring the history to life on any hand-held device.
The project is primarily aimed at adult tourists visiting Gibraltar, but could also be extended to local, young adults interested in keeping the history alive. The locations available are linked to relatively unknown places, events and real-life stories that visitors are unaware of, providing them with visual historic representations of what
